The jars have been processed using the water-boil method. They are shelf stable for months.

5. Do I have to refrigerate the salsa?

The salsa can be kept at room temperature until the jar is opened. Then it should be refrigerated and consumed within 1-2 weeks.

6. What is the canning process?

The jars and lids are sterilized in boiling water prior to being filled with salsa. Then the jars are sealed and brought to a rolling boil in a fully submerged water bath and boiled for approximately 15 minutes. Afterwards, they are left for five minutes with the heat turned off and then removed vertically and left to cool upright finalizing the canning process.

7. Where do you buy your produce?

All of our fresh ingredients are purchased from Wholesale Market. The salt and cumin are from the regular grocery store.
